Returning after broken bones

Hi everyone - I made it back inside a few weeks shy of 10 months! for those of you who don't know my story , I broke tibia fibula on 22nd Sept. Since then I have been through Physio then had to have all the metal out 27th may (allergic reaction & my body rejected the metal) and yesterday I returned to c25k from the beginning.

Man did it feel good to be back in the driving seat of my body.

I have put on 2 stone (15 stone now) so it's going to be tad harder but cycling every other day, 1 day off in 7 I should be able to get back to my being able to run for 45 minutes ( I was never fast =-5k in 45) but I loved being able to do it

So just to say hard work with the Physio, protein shakes & glutamin all helped me heal much quicker than doctors expected

The joy I felt slipping my trainers on @5.15am was followed by euphoria when Laura said "that's it..." Couldn't believe i had done !!!

Wahoooo

Dolphin12 , so wonderful to hear that you're out running again. Your injury was a really bad one, so it's great to know that you confounded the medics with your quick recovery. Stick with Laura and the plan and you'll be back to 5k in no time, faster and stronger than before. Well done m'dear, I'm looking forward to reading all your progress updates :) :) :)

Great to see you back, I was wondering how you we're getting on (particularly as a fellow recovering fracturee). It's brilliant news that you are recovering so well after such a nasty break.

Ouch, and to add insult to injury the metal was an unwelcome imposter too! But it is really good that you're now able to start again, enjoy the challenge from a new perspective. Good luck and keep in touch!
