Week 8 Run 1

Instead of running in the morning ai thought I'd change and bring the running in line with when I go to the gym. There is a reason for this, I use weights, etc when I'm the most fasted, so I'll eat about 7pm and the not eat until around 7pm the next night BUT I'll go to the gym around 5-6pm.

That way when I'm done I can have my protein shake, go home and cook for Mrs LeeU and myself, usually a ribeye for me, that then gives me plenty of protein available for recovery.

I bought 2 new pairs of trainers, a pair of Puma Nitro 2s and a pair of Under Armour Infinite 4s, today was the turn of the Pumas.

I jumped on the treadmill just after work and set the app to week 8 run 1 and set off.

I started at my new normal pace and then, half way through Laura asked me about speeding up a little, so I upped the pace by .5 kph for the rest of the run.

HR was under control and the shoes felt fine, a little 'bouncy' compared to barefoot ones but comfortable enough.

5 runs left, another gym session tomorrow.

I 'baked' today too, a homemade cheesecake with Fox's Viennese biscuits around the outside.

Don't think I'm going to eat much of it, both of our daughters have seen it and have decided they're going to share it.

It's amazing, they're both pregnant and apparently both unborn children KNOW they love cheesecake!

Annie, I already have 3 grandsons, oldest 10, youngest 6, during lockdown we were biking every Sunday (I was biking/running in the week too).

The cheesecake filling was quite nice, I had to taste it to ensure it was ok, obviously :)

You'll be lucky, I don't think I'm lucky enough to get a piece and I made it and it's sat in my fridge.

Once the locusts turn up, sorry, my daughters, there won't even be a crumb left.

Thanks.
