Today was the best run ever! I don't know if it was because it was the final run and I was really psyched up for it but everything felt right and fluid - that's the best word to describe how it felt. The past year has been particularly tough with our daughter diagnosed with breast cancer; she's now in remission, thankfully. Undertaking C25K has saved me from total meltdown and given me a focus, the challenge I needed to deal with everything life threw at our family. Anyway, I would like to thank my husband, my family, and everyone on this forum for their fantastic support and encouragement; I honestly couldn't have done it without you! Finally, thanks to my trusty trainers and sports bra for never letting me down! Now celebrating with pizza and wine. Bliss! π
I've done it!!!!!: Today was the best run ever... - Couch to 5K
I've done it!!!!!
Fantastic to finish the programme in such great style! Congratulations on your well deserved graduation. I think the c25k is a life saver in so many ways. Enjoy your pizza and wine and BE PROUD!
Thank you! π
Yay! Well done you and congratulations! Do you have any running goals now you've graduated?
Thank you! Going to aim for 5k in a reasonable time and above all, enjoy running for fun!
Big congratulations. You deserve it. Enjoy the moment (and the pizza and wine)ππΎ
Thank you. Can't stop smiling. .... and the pizza and drop of wine went down a treat!
Huge congratulations..on all counts, wow! It takes real courage to stay on target whem life is so difficult.
Well done.Savour the moment...be proud.βΊ
Well done!!! It must be a great feeling π Enjoy the wine and pizza. How are you planning to keep it up? It's a concern of mine when I get there...
Whoop whoop absolutely brilliant - so thrilled for you!!! Many congratulations- enjoy this fabulous achievement and happy running! πππ
Thank you so much! π
You'll get there and it is a great feeling - I'm still buzzing and that's not the wine! I'm going to work on my time and distance because I'm quite a way off 5k in 30 minutes. I ran 5k in about 50 minutes a couple of years ago but that was a moment of madness I think. So, I still have goals and the main one is running for the sheer fun of it. Enjoy your running! π
Well done, Hidden
Well done, this running stuff does seem to be good for the old coping skills, you're right. One of my kids pointed out the other day that mummy doesn't shout so much anymore π Glad to hear your daughter is in remission, enjoy your glory moment!
Gorgeous post and it sounds like running is getting you through some tough times... Huge well done on your succes
Thank you very much for my badge. I'm still feeling the happy, proud buzz this morning and can't wait for my next run. π
