just bought myself a pre graduation present (well I did run 32 mins on Monday) I have a question can you plug the usb charger into a phone charger plug instead of having to use the pc to charge it up??

It _should_ be fine - I tend to use these things interchangeably. However, if it blows up then it isn't my fault :-).

I also charge my phone & sat-nav using both methods.

Either way is just providing a small amount of power to the battery. The resistors in the circuitry should stop any overload of power.

"Should" be OK. You've got a warranty, if not. :)

I'm sure you can use older versions of Windows. My PC is ancient (like me) It's most definitely not using Windows10, probably Vista or XP and I'm on Garmin Connect. It wouldn't be in Garmin's interest to restrict their products to a particular version on Windows. Try signing up and see what happens, there are loads of us on there. :)

I use my iPad for just about everything these days, except sync-ing my Fr10. I sync it using the connection to the PC but then do any analysis and commenting on the iPad. Don't think Bluetooth was invented when the Fr10 was launched :D

Would love to join this thread, but not sure what language you're speaking...... "Charge!!" (brandishes running jacket round head whilst running very fast towards oncoming pedestrians). :)

Oh don't worry Alsmum, I am a proper techno duffer but I have a Garmin and I soon got to grips with it. I recharge mine post run when I upload the run data into my pc (I am not windows 10 either as my pc is old as well Ancientmum ☺) I use garmin express

Yay! Let's hear it for GarminExpress and ancient PCs! I always recharge mine after each run too. :)
