I'm really pleased that they haven't mangled my story - and I managed to give C25K a plug too! tinyurl.com/m7rqecq

Yay we made it to the papers. Thank you very much. Well done. The photo looks great. By stealth we will get the message out.

Really brilliant and inspiring article, Linda! I might give that diet another whirl myself :) xx

Fabulous pictures Linda, and inspirational stories. I always find the real life stories so motivating! Well done for inspiring the rest of us. Keep putting that message out there.

I was wondering if it was someone here. Wow!! That is an amazing story! I read it last night as daily mail is free online which is great if you an expat! I was considering the 5:2 diet so been reading into it

Watch the original programme if you haven't already tinyurl.com/a8ppjl7

Then get Kate Harrison's book called The 5:2 Diet - it's on Kindle too.

If you ever need any tips then do ask.

I always read the DM online too - I lived in Spain for eight years until 2010 - but today I think I might go and buy a copy!

I would get 2 or 3 if what was me. I would even frame one and pop it somewhere for people to read, you look fantastic so go for it!!

I will do I think I will do, my plan is at the moment to use my fitness pal, cut down on cals and combine with fewer carbs and higher protein and then try 5:2 in February. I have realised I need to learn good habits first, I have used too many excuses last year - I am holiday, I am moving, I am on holiday, the wine and bread is so cheap here, are we moving back to the UK. So starting off 2015 with no more excuses just get on with it.

After I watched the original programme I wasn't sure how to go about it so I just started eating from smaller plates and stopped nibbling in the evenings after I'd had my dinner. I did that until the October when Kate's book came out and I knew properly what to do. Portion control is key! Now I can eat a ready meal (I often do if I have a busy day) and not think it's a half portion. :)

Good for you, sounds like you're reaping the benefits - I have known people do the 5:2 but no one who has had the resolve, success and results like you have

Thank you.

I know thousands who've had the same success as myself and the two other ladies. I only had three stone to lose but I know of some who have lost over ten stone and transformed their lives.

Thank You :-) !

Oh bravo Ginger!!!!! Fantastic news. I'm really chuffed to bits for you. You have earned this as you've worked very hard to be at the weight you are now. As a fellow weight watcher I know what you have to do to get the weight off and keep it off. Constant diligence! Running is a great way of keeping the weight from creeping back on, so big up to C25k. Good idea to plug it!

Good lass! You're a star. Great photo by the way! You look fab
