Glorious morning in Co Down so up and out with the dawn chorus - sadly more podcast problems so never got to find out about the intriguing Julie( 90ldfinch😉) . Had to resort to stopwatch on my phone. Took it really slow ( slower than slow!!) as I've been feeling a niggly pain in right hip the last couple of days. Was so glad to get to the end didn't really run on for a few extra secs like i usually do. Did some good stretches after - hope that helps with the hip. Onwards to run 2 !

Ooh a fellow kinswoman! I grew up in County Antrim so know your neck of the woods well. Your weather has been fabulous hasn't it? Much better than ours here. Anyway, well done on the run. A great stretch for the hip is to lie on your back and tie a resistance band (or towel) around your left foot. Raise foot, keep leg straight and, holding the band in your right hand, pull your leg over to the right hand side keeping your leg straight. You should really feel the stretch in the hip. Repeat on the other side.
