I have done two runs since my last blog and the first (6k) was painful initially (for 15 mins or so) and then eased off. But today (7k) was great, even in the heat! I did first km today in 6.41 mins and knew that I was feeling much better and I did the third km in 6 mins! I wasn't even pushing it, just running at a 'comfortable' pace. Compared to the run before: the first km 8 mins and third km 7.11min, much slower!

I am obviously pleased :) that my running is coming back to normal. I can still feel the muscle, which is a bit tight near my ankle now, but I stretch and ice when I finish. My garmin ran out of power today (also my ipod!!) so I don't have the full picture, but I am thrilled with how I ran.

I have been swimming and doing cross trainer to keep fitness levels up and will continue to do this on every other day, now that I am in the habit.

I feel that the half marathon in September is a real possibility now :)

Thanks! I'm hoping to do the Tonbridge half marathon. I want to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of a dear friend who died last year.

So glad for you, that's a good pace! The cross training sounds like a good idea. Good luck with it, keep going sounds like you are doing great!
