Did the run earlier than normal and on a weekend when my runs never seem as good BUT it was great - was faster and had a rhythm for the first time - really enjoyed and definately feel like a runner now :)

Hi cybermat - I've just done this one too! I found it a slog to get through the 25-minute run, but luckily I was running down the Isle of Dogs so I had the river and Dome and Cutty Sark to look at. I also did a few little runs while listening to my cheese-tastic running songs, and these were much more fun!

Hi Katie204 - seeing people running round Greenwich at Easter inspired me to go for it - great place to run. Well done for doing the 25 - I have found each one up until yesterday a real slog - think I will have to swap to my songs soon - the podcast ones aren't really cutting it :)

I'm still struggling I get to 18 mins and really start to flag and my calf muscle starts to ache. I try to push myself but still end up walking. The last bit. Gonna stay in week 7 another day and see if I can push past it.

OK

Hi did you manage the previous runs in earlier weeks? I went as slow as possible through all runs until this one when I seemed to find my rhythm. Maybe try 20 mins first and go slow slow slow

As cybernate says - go really slow. Start at a pace slower than you normally go, and stick to that pace until you have found a rhythm. Try to keep your feet moving in "'running style", no matter how slowly, for the whole 25 mins to convince your subconscious that you can do it. I shuffle along like an old granny but I will myself to get to the end and it works!

Yay! Way to go cyber dude. Sounds like you've really been bitten by that old running bug.
