So, I'd got up to week 6 and then I came down with a stinking cold and just couldn't do it. Even after I thought the cold was over, I was struggling to breathe. So I gave myself a week off. And then another week off. And then I did a few days of "maybe tomorrow..."
Finally went out yesterday and did W4R1, which was hard enough but manageable. I'm peeved to have dropped back 2 weeks from where I'd got to, but I need to be realistic - and I know that W5R3 won't hold the same fears second time around because I know that I did it before.
Will somebody please say "well done for getting back to it"? That's what I need to hear!

Well done for getting back to it! You've overcome the biggest hurdle and got back out there again. And don't you feel better for it! You'll shoot through the next weeks - you'll see!
Well done, you'll be back where you left off before you know it
You need to remember this is a new way of life not just a 9 week program, when you look at the bigger picture, missing a few weeks is nothing. You've done what you need to do by getting back out there, so well done for that. Make a note somewhere of how much better this makes you feel so that next time you are tempted to have too many rest days, you don't. Keep going, you won't regret it.
I had a similar experience - completed week 5 run 2 and then lost 2 or 3 weeks to sickness. I came straight back into week 5 run 3 and it was much easier than I thought.
Wow - I must be so good? Not really - I say this to make the point you can trust the plan and you can trust the progress you have made. At this stage it is much more about going slowly and believing in yourself.
I found week 7 _really_ hard going, and was convinced I wouldn't make each run, but I did and am now on week 8.
My advice - go straight back to week 6 - I am sure you will be able to do it, and going back to week 4 is only re-enforcing the negative. Start week 6 runs _really_ slowly, and if you need to take a compensating walk mid-run, fine, but don't write yourself off :-).
