Actually think I might have enjoyed some of this run.. first five minutes are always tough for me while I get into it and get head around the fact it's happening..lol. today I tried not to look at my watch and just concentrate on my posture and breathing.. which I managed to control a lot better.. So I'm half way through now and it's my calves that are protesting the most.. but I can manage that better now also.. have to get my brain thinking anything other than my calves hurt Awch... it was windy out..So had to concentrate on not losing my hat. ( son bought me for mother's day) the thought of chasing it over the field was quite scarey..lol
Now I just have ten mins to go.. stay. On the same route now so know roughly where I should be up to.. hard work now but keep putting one foot in front of the other..slow but sure of finishing now..and then just the long long long...wait for laura to let me know I have a minute left to go push a bit more and WOOPEE Week 7 r1. You weren't so bad

It's all about silencing the gremlins. You've done the physical preparation so unless there's an injury, your body can do it. That just leaves your thoughts - they're much more important to conquer!
Fab stuff sparky. With each run you're getting stronger and fitter and the runs should feel a little easier. Are you stretching those calves and using a foam roller?
You've been flying through the programme with the right determination and attitude and now graduation is in sight!
For the calf pain, try to entirely relax them and start your movement from the hip; think about lifting and advancing your knees rather than your feet. Reducing the length of your stride can help too; ideally your feet should land below your centre of gravity, not in front of you.
