Well the clocks have gone forward so I can't believe I was willingly up at 7 (6am as far as my body is concerned) and out of the house half an hour later bedecked in running gear - who is this person? Decided I fancied a change of scene for this run so drove to the nearest beach, only about 15 mins away. 12 minute run today so ran along the promenade for 6 mins then back along the beach. It was cold, it was raining, the wind was blowing in my face but it was exhilarating. It had been my ambition for a long time to be one of those people you see running along the beach and now I was doing it (albeit very slowly!), felt quite proud of myself.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside - Couch to 5K
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside
Ooh lovely! And up so early on a holiday to do it. I'm impressed!
I was amazed at myself I am not one of life's early risers but just felt the urge!
I'm really impressed - I'd love to be one of those people you see out running really early (only ever pass them on my way to work) your beach run sounds brilliant. I never thought about the idea of running along the coast, but sounds great, and you can now call yourself one of those people.
Wahay! Well done you. Yes, we can change things can't we. It can be done. You'll have a spring in your step now you're RUNNING along the prom. Good int it!
Quite right you should be proud! It's really exhilarating to be out in the cold and wind but feeling toasty as we bowl along. I've not run on the seafront or beach yet but it's my goal in life to do so. What fun!
Well done. I love to run by the sea but running on the beach is HARD - so you get an extra gold star!
Good for you, we did parkrun along the beach Saturday, and the bit where we ran on the sand was hard work! But lovely to run by the sea 😀
