Woke up early well early for a Saturday morning.. (7am) first thoughts.. yes. Run day Will I go back to sleep? No get up cuppa.. sneak back into bedroom try not to wake hubby to get my running kit... leaves him a note letting him know where I've gone... can't wait to get out and get on with w6r1. Had been slightly worried as a few had said it's tricky.. but I wasn't about to let any gremlins show their ugly faces.. So off I trots.. feeling great.. gets to second run in.. tripped over a boulder.. went sprawling down on my hands and knees.. water bottle and hanky threw to to side.. AWCH .. some obscenities.. rolled over into my back... check/ no heart attack.. nope... hands stinging.. knee.. not sure/ next thought.. right it's ok youl survive.. got up and carried on.. by now laughing at myself thinking ... that's what I get for being so smug.. and running half asleep! I'm fine now home and laughing about a good story to tell ... note to fellow runners... make sure you are properly awake.. there is such a thing as too eager. Lol x I will not put say I had a rest break
AWCH. I'M not counting that as a fail ? - Couch to 5K
AWCH. I'M not counting that as a fail ?
Ouch! No, definitely not a rest break!
Glad it wasn't worse and well done for carrying on
Rock on Sparky and keep running
Goodness.. well done you, falling and getting back up and carrying on !
Good luck for your next run, be careful and take it slow and steady... and do it when awake
2 things.
1.) you got up at WHAT TIME ON A SATURDAY to go running?! Crazy person
2.) very impressive picking yourself up and getting the run done after a fall. That takes grit, determination and bravery, well done
Thanks guys! I'm amazed I carried on running and didn't just hobble home and cry! Think I was more concerned I would fail my run.. or had torn the knee out of my New running pants! Just have a small bruise on my knee and a niggley ache on my side.. I'm a brave soldier.. lol. Bring on w6r2
I think there's a real runner in the making here! Well done! It's also a great story to tell later on!
