I am starting week 6 today but last week when I did the 20mins jog I didn't seem to get as far as when I was doing walking/jogging am I going to slow or what??? Any advice welcome
Going backwards!!!!: I am starting week 6 today... - Couch to 5K
Going backwards!!!!
No, that's normal ... the longer runs often equal shorter times or distances of being on the move. You'll soon start to build it up from Wk 7 onwards and you're getting used to pacing yourself and everything else that starts to fall into place once you eliminate the walking part. Keep moving on your run, that's the main thing and it will all work out
Yes, my advice is not to worry! Slow is good at this stage of the game, and if you are completing the runs you are doing just great!
Good luck with week 6- it can catch you unawares.
Thanks for posting that, I'm just about to do wk5 run 3 and admit to feeling a tad concerned so the replies are quite reassuring .l shall look out for your future posts to see what to expect !!
Did my week 6 part 1 one yesterday and went further than before but it had the walking bit in it not going to worry about how slow I am going the fact I am doing something makes me feel good. But I do tend to have fads and get bored easily so if I feel a fad or boredom setting in I will come back on the forum so you guys can do a bit of finger waggling
