On the injury couch

I tore a calf muscle and am now forced to rest for two weeks. Doctor's orders. How annoying.

Ooo no & ouch!

But best to follow drs instructions and make sure you're fully repaired before hitting the road again.

Take care ☺

Ouch! So sorry to hear that cath. Hope it's not too bad a tear? I had a nasty one last year which kept me from running for a long time. Lots of ice and rest and really let it recover before coming back slowly. Healing vibes coming your way☺.

Thanks for the vibes. I don't think it's too bad. I think swimming will be the only exercise I'll be doing next week.

Ouch, but maybe a good time for core and upper body training, the arm bike can keep the cardio in check

Such a shame. Make sure you let it recover properly though before coming back slowly. Oh and don't overdo the walnut cake!

in reply toOldWheezer

Yes I was counting on running off some of the Christmas excesses so no walnut cake for me!!!

Oh flippin eck ! 😯 So annoying, but if recovery only takes 2 weeks, then rejoice ☺ Two weeks to heal, but then maybe some physio, but at least your treatment has started early

Hang in there and try to be patient ☺

in reply tomisswobble

Thank you l 'll just have to be patient.

Try and keep your foot up and don't underestimate the power of ice, it's fab stuff! I kept icing my gammy leg and it was the best medicine of all. I kept serried ranks of cups of ice in the freezer (silicone muffin cups and all manner of paper/polystyrene cups) Each one would last 8 to 10 mins before completely melting. You play it over the affected body part, keeping it moving constantly til it's all gone. Lots of towels under you! You can do that while watching your fave telly x

Great advice thank you
