Who said that running was good for you?

Went for my 5am run this morning and forgot my head torch. Never mind, let know the route with my eyes shut! Well, a car was coming towards me with full beam on and blinded me, when there was a kerb right in front of me. Did my Superman impression - but had to do a crash landing?

No. I kept on running though. I couldn't see what I'd done in the dark and it went numb after a couple of minutes.

Maybe you need to be wearing those impervious Superman tights! Looks a bit nasty, and hate it when you get a scab pulling over a knee. Hope you recover quickly.

I just need to learn to fly.😉

Ouch!

I shall have to invent some kind of roller-skate for the hands and knees!

Hope it heals quickly.

Owch. And how nice of the driver to stop and check that you were ok, huh... :(

Make sure that you disinfect that properly.

Can get a nice running cap with built in led light in aldi £4.99, I nearly got one, but I don't run in the dark and have a lot of caps already...

It wouldn't have saved me this time as I was blinded by the headlights. Just bad luck but I will have a look in Aldi. Thanks for the tip.

My hubby bought one of those and announced he was going to wear it backwards (rather than reflective gear) when on evening runs with the running club. I had to point out to him that

1. He'd look a tool! And

2. He'd blind the poor souls running behind him

That's good to hear that it's not to bad still looks pretty bad think it's due to the blood down your leg, hope it doesn't keep you on the injury couch for to long, mine didn't after a bad tackle in footy training on thursday, still managed to do the parkrun on the saturday :) x

I got one of those caps Dave!

Ouch! Sorry to hear of your scrape. It happens to us all at some point. I think most of us will skin our knees at least once. I hope you're feeling less sore now
