Things are looking up...

Just a post to say it's been a great day for motivation. I've been having a lot of gremlins kicking around the past few months as I've been trying to sort out a good balance between lifting weights, running and other activities. Been stuck at the 5 k or under mark and have been hoping to build back up to 10+ again super slowly to avoid injury again but didn't have the oomph to start increasing distance - I've been going too hard with my runs and losing all my momentum in under 5k. I'm happy to say my slow run today was great - I'm out in the mountains for a couple days which is good for the runner's soul (see the snap from my morning run). A change of scenery can mean everything. On the other motivating front, registration for next June's 8 mile cinnamon bun run opens tomorrow. Training starts now :). Happy running folks!!

Canmore Alberta. If you're ever in the area, I'll host a run. One hour from home :)

Maybe we need NHS couch to 5k running destination holidays. I'd love to run in the UK or Australia.
