Firstly well done to all the wonderful runners on here for all the fabulous achievements. You are all little stars! I am not in the same class but I did achieve my half marathon finish before 50.
Lovely day for a run and I must say it seemed very well organised.
I finished in 2:54:12 so also achieved my sub 3 hour finish. Managed my quickest 5 km and 10km yet but not long after half way began to get hip and knee pain so had to walk run, which became more walk as time went on. Did manage to run to the finish though and in front of the lucky buggers outside the Kings Head!
Overall very pleased with myself and I will be sticking to 10kms in future.
Liking vitality's free finish line photo too!

Well done, Beth, great persistence and determination. That finish phot is a brilliant touch, isn't it? Take a look at oxonraces.com later or tomorrow - Barry Cornelius takes photos at most local races and makes them available for free!
Big well done Beth, a hm really is a fantastic achievement. And a lovely photo as well for you to keep. I'd have it in my living room and be showing it off to everyone if I was you!
Thanks so much. If we can get a decent one of hubby from the paid for photos (his freebie is rubbish!) I'd like to frame the two. We won't be doing another HM!!
Just how exactly are you not in the same class?? You just completed a half marathon and achieved 2 if not 3 PB's and in spite of hip and knee pain! You are one awesome lady! Congratulations!
Well done Beth! Great write-up and what a photo; such determination! Very well done on your PBs and getting through what sounds like a tough race. It's an amazing achievement and I hope you're feeling really proud of yourself, as you should be!
