Well you're not wrong! It is beautiful. All the more special because of the months of hard slog it takes to earn it. Well done and congratulations ☺

Congratulations and well done Steve. You must be very proud. Love the medal by the way.
Rest up for a few days, you'll need to recover

Thanks, MW. I don't think I'll be able to run for at least a couple of days anyway - my toe feels too bruised to run on.

I'm not surprised. Your toes take a hammering, especially on the downhill parts of the race where they get slammed against the front of your shoes
You will be ravenous too in the coming day so it pays to stock up on healthy eats.

It was the woman running in front of me that came to an abrupt halt without warning - I had to put my foot down hard to stop myself knocking her over, and my toe went hard against my shoe! That was about 9 miles in.

That's a great medal, and shirt, Steve! Well done, bet you're mighty proud of those; thanks for sharing!

That I am, Steve, that I am!

It's a bit too 'modern' for a fuddy-duddy traditionalist like me but if it floats your boat, that's great.
How are the ol' legs today?

Legs aren't too bad, a bit tired, a little achy but ok. My toe is tender, though. If it doesn't ease, it'll stop me running.
Starting to look for the next half now!
