Just finished my first 5K with time of 41:03. Not bad for a woman in early 50's. And it was so much fun!
Did it!: Just finished my first 5K with time of... - Couch to 5K
Did it!
Fantastic run, well done! Good steady time too - did you run on your own or at an event. We r twins as was planning a 30 minute run and carried on until I did 5K - felt really good today, even showed off by sprinting for the last few minutes LOL
Ran in the local fundraiser for school system. I'd gone through a beginner's 5K running program at a local running store and our group ran this race. Met people I would not have met otherwise, had fun running with them twice a week x 6 weeks. Our group of 4 ladies run at the same pace so we are going to continue running together at the store's fun runs.
This accomplished my first goal of just finishing a 5K! Now my long term goal is to run a complete 5K down the road. We did run/walk x 1 1/2 minutes.
well done enjoying it is the main thing
Very good , did you run non-stop? The first few I still had to have 10 second walking breaks twice during the 5k!! I still have the odd one now. It's a great achievement!
Most definitely did not run non-stop! My group kept with our training pace of running 1 1/2 minutes and then walking 1 1/2 minutes. We were so excited in the beginning we tried to run further but our Coach held us back and promptly explained why we needed to pace ourselves and stick to our training pace. She, of course, was right.
Super duper. You certainly did!
Whoo hoo! Well done
Yeah ! Big up to us , Fifty is the new thirty !
We're rather nifty for ladies of fifty arent we ?
Well done , thats brilliant ! xxx
brilliant,well done you xxx
Your first 5K! Congratulations it's a great moment isn't it? Pretty good time too! Well done x
Awe, thanks so much! It was such a wonderful moment. About 10 or more years ago I wanted to try a 5K with goal of finishing it. Had a few bumpy starts with attempting Couch to 5k program with a local huge track club and several attempts on my own. Wasn't until I discovered a training program through a local and very community involved running store that it all clicked. Now I am having such fun.
Love your curls! I've got them too.
