Today was my first formal 5k: The Great Pumpkin Race. It was postcard pretty today, but very damp from a soaking fog. The course was super challenging: suicide hills, hairpin turns, and then the corn maze (which was solid mud) with even more hairpin turns. I must admit that I was unable to run the whole thing, but after all, I'm still on my journey away from the couch. I finished at 46:06.6. Not too terrible. I am already signed up for my next 5k in a month. Here's hoping I can run it all!
p.s. Check out my race bib and bling! Side note: Yikes on the tag!!!!
