Well tonight I didn't get home in time to spinning so I decided to do my w5r1 not only in the evening (1st time) but in the sun AND a different route well I did it and feel great a bit slow but I did feel sluggish I think I'm more of a morning person plus I had my trainers too tight mmmmm feet are throbbing now.

Run 2 at the weekend xx

Slow is fine. You'll probably find it wasn't completely as sluggish as it felt, either. Familiar paths get shorter and shorter all the time; new ones are long (and on a long road you feel like you're getting nowhere). It also looks a lot like your runs are just to condition the muscles that get missed out in the spinning, so you should manage the rest of this fine. (Considering that your overall cardio is already tolerating 45 minute spin sessions!)

If you have sore feet and you're still feeling great, you're not likely to let much get you down, are you?

Thanks Gary as always I look forward to your comments they're very encouraging. I actually think I feel better running in the morning I feel more energised

I feel a bit mixed emotions I'm glad I did the run but I thought I would have felt really pleased with myself I am and I'm not

And my feet are bloody killing laces far too tight xx

I made the same mistake with my laces on last week's 25 minute run. My feet were killing by the time I stopped but I won't do it again. I'm trying a different route tonight as one of the roads I've been running down is becoming a real psychological effort!

Well I Deffo learnt my lesson and my trainers will never be that tight again my feet are throbbing

Good luck on your new route hope you enjoy it do you normally run on the road or through the countryside.

I did a countryside run tonight it was lovely with sun shining but as I go out normally in the morning 6.15 I may feel a bit vulnerable

The outside ' edges' of my feet were agony by the time I got back!

I always run on the roads. I live on the outskirts of a large town and don't have a car to get me anywhere that would be nicer to run. Quite a bit of my run is along a busy A road, and I'm extending that bit tonight so that I can avoid the road as I near home that I'm having problems with. It's not very well lit , there are a lot of tree roots in the pavements and it's quite winding so I feel that I'm never going to get to the rnd of it!

Thanks!

Just back and out of the shower. The route was much better lit and there were no annoying tree roots! It wasn't one of my better runs ( I was up at 2am after 2.5 hours sleep and didn't go back to bed apart from a couple of hours this afternoon so was very tired). 25 minutes running felt like a very long time tonight, but on a better day I think I will really enjoy the route.

Good luck with your run 2 at the weekend.
