I've been trying to follow a 10km Asics plan to prepare for my first 10km race in a couple of weeks. It was going OK(ish) until Saturday when I did 7km instead of the planned 10km. This seemed too much particularly as the plan has me down for another 10km today. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a whirl this morning and managed it in 1hr 25min. Now, I'm fully aware this is a slow time but for me it's the best I've done - 4 minutes better in fact. I"m still not sure about the Asics plan thing as a whole - the pace it seems to expect is too quick for me & my attempts to try & change it haven't worked. Anyway the structure hss helped - the race time will be the final verdict I suppose
