Yaaaah! The week 5 run 3 done

Yes!! I ran for 20 minutes without stopping !! Haven't done that since cross country at school over 30 years ago! Legs felt ok and I got my breathing just about right. I remember someone posting that the 20 minute run was like running 5 minutes, 4 times. That helped keep me going and I kind of imagined in my head that I had just walked the previous 5 minute run to trick my mind a bit! Fabulous feeling!

Well done. It's hard to beat the Week 5 Run 3 feeling. The mental barrier is substantial, and when your legs have finally showed you that Laura was right that you can do it, it feels fantastic, doesn't it? Enjoy that first big reward for all this persistence of yours.

Fantastic, that's the scary one over. If you've done that you can do anything. Give yourself a big pat on the back (or a big glass of wine, whichever works for you!) :0)

Thank you and I agree with it being scary, although once I had started the fear ebbed away. Ooh thanks for the permission for a glass of wine.dont mind if I do and maybe a stack of Jaffa cakes! ☺️

Thank you , I agree about the mental achievement. I kept telling myself I can walk for 20 minutes without any problems so why not run? ( even if it is more of a shuffle😜)
