The weather has got in the way this week and although I completed the week 5/3 milestone run of 20 minutes in the gym I felt cheated. So, set of this evening and settled into a steady pace to repeat 5/3 and like Forrest felt as if I could run and run. In a rash moment went on then to do week 6/1- completely missed the call for one of the walk intervals and the cool down and went even further.
It remains to be seen whether this turns out to be an act of foolishness but I did come close to achieving the hypnotic state the other half waxes lyrical about. I won't be telling him he is right just yet though!
Out tomorrow on the bike bringing up the rear for one of my offspring training for a half marathon so let's hope I am not regretting today's enthusiastic training session(s).
Um, are you saying you did w5r3 and w6r1 in one session? Goodness gracious! As AHS says, if it felt ok then it probably was, but don't get carried away and do it every time!
Remarkably no ill effects from my "mad moment". I can't see me getting carried away too often - it is not like me at all to do something so reckless! The upside was I slept really well.
