Week 6 run 2

Hello everyone, how are you? I did week 6 run 2 yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I was tired afterward, but not destroyed. My main problem is that I have some tendon and ligament soreness. It's not too bad and hopefully will not get worse. I go out for the 22 minute run tomorrow. I'm going to crack this week 6! 😉

Determination. *LIKE*. :D Well done! Go gentle on those leggies. What a lovely place to run - no pot holes and lots of shade!

It truly is gorgeous here. I'm lucky.

That looks like a beautiful place to run :-) hope the soreness isn't too bad- do you have a foam roller to try and ease them a bit?

Tell me more about "foam roller". What is it, what it does, what do you use it for exactly meaning what sort of pain, how do you use it, does it work and where do you get it?

A foam roller is a cheap massage too you can use on your legs. You rub them down with it - hard - and it loosens your muscles and helps with inflammation. I would try a sporting good store.

Ah ok. So it wouldn't work if you pull a ligament or if after a run you have sore joints / hips or something like that

Probably not, unfortunately. Sorry!

There are foam rolling exercises for loosening the whole body and ones I found online for tight hip flexors which were giving me jip when I ran before. Combined with active hip flexor stretches before I run, I feel much better. You could also use a tennis ball if it's hip flexors, but I've not tried that.

Interesting. Will check it out when back from holiday.
