Week 6 run 1

Well, I've begun the dreaded week 6. Today's interval runs didn't seem too bad (although I think the program had an evil plan to time my runs exactly with the onset of the uphill portions). I was also pleased at how quickly I recovered during the walks. I'm just a bit sore (muscles, tendons, and ligaments), but I don't feel it's anything worth worrying over. I even had enough left over to push slightly at the end of the last run interval (1.94km run and 1.45km walked). I'm pleased.

Ok thanks. Started week 3 yesterday and the 2nd 3 minutes was a killer so feeling a bit wary about tomorrow.

Well done RFB- the next one is going to be great ! Nice pic as well... It's a pretty dismal morning here. I love doing the programme in the mornings though... I find the term 'hill' applying to gradients I would not have noticed previously 😀

Due to go out today to do week 6, run 2 (2 x 10 minutes) and to test my resolve, it is raining. Prefer to run first thing before I eat so rather than delay it, going to go out for my first rain run! This is the last run broken with recovery walks, so here goes. Well done you for slogging through to week 6, I am giving it all I have, bike has been put away in the shed as this is getting serious LO,

The first 10 minutes was easier but I just took my time, relaxing calves when they ached and pain eased, making sure breathing is slow and deep really helps, second 10 is a little harder because I was tired but more than possible, even gained a little pace towards the end and felt I could have kept going (just as well, I will be running for 25 mins on Friday) 😀

Thanks for the preview. Hopefully I can pull it off. As long as my legs behave, I think I will. Rock that run 3! You know what Laura will say next. 😉
