Last week I got the ok to run again. I was under very strict instruction that if there was any pain In the shoulder at all I had to stop.
I have been out three times and am happy to report the shoulder is fine. I have to take walk breaks and only run for 1min at a time so there is not constant pounding for my still healing shoulder to cope with. But that really suits me anyway my preference is for a run/walk anyway.
It just felt so good to start running again. Well that was apart from the fact that it felt like someone had poured liquid fire into my unused running muscles. I walk so much and have continued to while being banned from running but it always amazes me what different muscles are used to run. Just days before I had done a 10mile hike with no muscles pain but into the 2nd min run my running muscles where making themselves known.
I have to admit that even though it hurt it felt so good. My legs feel like a new runner just starting out and I rememberd what it felt like coming home wk1 run 1 wondering if my body was made for running. The difference now is I know my body will adjust, muscles will strengthen, my body will go back to being more toned and I will feel more at peace with my body than I ever have in my life. I will be patient with the journey as I want to make it to the end. It is so worth it and I will love every minute of it.
I know I am Preaching to the converted here but isnt running great. even if your not quite there yet with the love, trust in the fact that it just seems to creep up on you.
Happy running to all.

Well done RFC! It's tough this not running lark. Running again after a lay off is hard work isn't it. In some ways it feels harder than it ever did as you have lost condition and you are so stiff. Well I know I am! We'll get there though ey.
Thank you. I'm stubborn which helps at times like this.
That's really good news! So pleased to hear you're running again. You sound completely on the case, not risking overdoing it and feeling confident that the stamina/running strength will all build up again soon enough. Hope the progress is steady and without pain
Glad you have got the all clear, you will get back up to speed soon and am sure the muscles will also sort themselves out. We need you back on form for next years winter run.
