Inspired by your post this morn, I decided to forget about timing - I too had become a little obsessive - and just slow down and run.
Whilst no where near your distance, I did 6 k comfortably which is what I wanted to do.

Well done ans so true; if we want to increase distance, we can't / shouldn't focus on time at the same time. I think the mantra is long and slow
That's what I will do tomorrow. ..my only concern is where I will find the time for ever longer runs once life is back to its normal busy self in September. ..
Aaaah bless you!!! That's fab!!! I thought I was seeing things there when I saw my name!!! Shame you can't tag people isn't it!!! I am so pleased I inspired you!! That's made it even better for me!! Well done!!! Stuff the speed. Just run and enjoy it. 6k comfortably is brilliant!!! Just build it slowly over next few weeks, IF, you want to. Well done and thanks for that!!! xx
Well done! I've just done 5.5k tonight at my best average pace to date, but I walked a couple of times. Not sure if it's better to slow down and keep it consistent or push it a bit and allow yourself a power walk?! As long as we're enjoying it, I guess that's what's most important?! x
