This is irrelevant, but you can find ways of pretending it's not: I once had a dog that liked to eat human poo on a farm where the humans often used the bushes on this dog's walk as a toilet. Now he loved human poo, so he pulled quite hard on the leash when he detected some. He was also diabetic and blind, so it seemed that the right thing to do was to make exceptions for him. This included standing by, sometimes gagging, while he ate the occasional "bum chocolate" (my brother's term - their corgis also liked this delicacy). When we got home, of course, he would breathe on me, and it would have been wrong to refuse him a pet when he asked. With bum chocolate aroma on his breath, even after a drink of water.
I also knew someone else's very friendly German shepherd, who was a sheep dung specialist, and had a breath to match...
So if your dog likes to disguise his scent by rolling in fox poo (spaniel, perhaps? I had a spaniel once who would settle for poo whenever he couldn't find something putrid) then although it's not the best thing that could happen, at least it's not the worst.
She's a labrador, and also likes manky/putrid dead things to roll in! Or even better she likes to carry them and try and give them to me as a lovely 'gift'
I should be thankful then - I have had other dogs in the past who liked to eat gross things...yuk!
I let her off lead when we are out and on the footpaths and bridlepaths, so that's when it usually happens especially if she's just behind me, and can stop for a bit without me noticing!
Ah labradors ... and the things they go and "retrieve" ... A cousin of mine has a Golden Retriever who occasionally steals the car keys and goes and buries them in the garden. Playful mischiefs, the labrador family.
5 mins in one go , I look forward to getting there. Well done.
hopefully with my new foot adjusted super duper no more knee problem trainers (says so on box) I'll be out soon , bottled it today - nervous that it reoccurs.
Dog had a 'shampoo and set' in the garden! I'm sure ketchup does work, as I've heard it before from other dog owners...I don't like it (to eat!) so none in the cupboard...will have to buy some specially for the dog when I next got shopping!
Good luck with your new trainers...get them christened soon!
