Guess the Park Run is off then?
Oh no! That looks so painful. You poor soul. Rest, rest, rest I think
Wow TT, what have you done? 😧 Oowwwccchhhhaaaa! Keep that leg up, RICE, etc., looks mighty sore......hope you're on the mend soon
Mx
What did you do! That looks really painful. Hugs being sent you way. Xxx
OMG that looks painful! I didn't know the ankle could swell so much! Take care TT and get lots of ice in.
Ouch! hope this gets better soon.
Oh no, that looks awful.. what did you do?
Ow! I know that hurts. You'll probably be needing a lot of Reparil gel, or whatever it is they use these days. I hope you recover soon.
I sometimes wonder to myself, now, what I would do if I picked up an injury and lost ground that way. Maintaining cardio is would be really hard for you (arms are just no substitute for legs). I suppose for that you might try swimming? Probably the best long term training strategy is to take this time to really firm up the core. And maybe it's an idea to do some one-legged work aimed at making the other leg stronger?
i think making one leg stronger than the other is asking for trouble.... It will cause an imbalance that can have very negative effects on generalist rude and esp on the back , trust me, I had one leg in a plaster for 2 months plus 4 months before I could put all my weight on ou, so the other leg became much stronger. That was 34 years ago and I've had back problems in the past 15 because of that imbalance.
Have to edit this - small tablet screens without glasses make for really odd words!! it was meant to be " negative effects on general posture" not a generalist rude!!
Ouch!
Ouch! Poor you, that must be sore. Wish you a speedy recovery and sending you big hugs 💐
Oh you poor thing! That looks so painful. A trip to the doctors to give a quick once over? Hope you start to feel better soon. X
Holy Crap !!!!
Oh TT, I really think you need to go to the docs with that , it looks very very swollen. I would get that checked over just in case .
Poor you , Big hugs for you on the IC ((( ))) xxx
That's a nasty sprain - get thee to a doctor!
Crikey TT! Should never have run on it yesterday! I think a doctors visit may be the order of the day - poor you. I hope it mends quickly.x
Oh no! That looks so painful!! I hope your ok!! Rest rest and more rest with 🍰☕️
Actually it hardly hurts at all today-I think it's just fluid. My knee, on the other hand hurts considerably and is swollen, red and rather hot. I think I must have landed on it when I went headlong off the gate but failed to feel it at the time because I was yelping about the ankle.
So Parkrun is postponed and I am trying to follow advice and apply all the sensible measures. My vet (daughter)is supervising treatment via Skype as she sees more of these sort of injuries than my doctor and she is actually licensed to treat all animals including humans!
Thank you all for your concern. I will be back.....
As someone who sprains an ankle once a year... Excellent news on the vet treatment! Look after it, it'll heal in a week.
Last time mine didn't hurt at all, but the whole foot was purple and the ankle was swollen like yours. I knew I'd done something serious as the crunching when I went down (and the nausea) was a bit of a hint. Was back up walking as normal in about three days.
Take care X
I can't believe you ran on that!!!!
Nor can I. I think I may be losing the plot.
How are you doing TT?
Much better thanks CG . Just off a a gentle recovery run. Will report back.
