Simple question, just intrigued to see what people answer.
Which is the hardest UK Park Run?: Simple... - Couch to 5K
Which is the hardest UK Park Run?
Our one is not too bad! but we did Ashton Court Bristol(juicyju's local) last summer, and it was uphill all the way, but nice downhill afterwards, the uphill was REALLY hard !
so beautiful though with the deer etc.. but it is hardcore, my son can do it now in 21.10.... and it has a 100 + metre climb
I would say mine...its fuc**** hardcore but we all LOVE IT
Personally id say ALL of them were hard!
Brentwood, Essex. My local parkrun. Two crazy climbs, one now officially designated "heartbreak hill", woodland trails with tree roots just waiting to hack you down and, in the winter, lots and lots of mud. Complete madness.
I was told at Eastleigh that people tend to run 2-3 mins slower than their usual 5k time due to some serious mud and a hill, but it doesn't sound anywhere near as intense as the Bristol one mentioned above!
Oh crumbs, Ashton Court is my local - thought of giving it a try in a few weeks, but I'm terrible at hills! Maybe I'll give it a couple of months instead (!)
Not run it per se, but I believe that the Parke Park Run near Bovey Tracy in Devon is a little challenging. Not sure how it compares, but could we compare age-group records for an indication?
I compared Brentwood; Ashton court; and bevendean down age cat records and reckon bevendean could be the hardest. Nobody yet has done below 17 mins!
My local one at Ganavan Sands in NW Scotland - starts on a steep gradient which does catch a few people out.
Lyme Park is a tough one 122m of elevation gain and starts with an ascent of 7% average and the last 1km is a leg finisher with an average grade of 4%! Great views though from the The Cage
