Knee Failure Update

Went to see a knee doc last night. Relieved to find out that it was just my IT band that is inflamed. With massotherapy and easing off with the long distances will allow me to get back to running again. My running career isn't over yet!

Take care and you will run again, and not too long a lay off hopefully

Inflammation will be causing the pain so be careful what you eat isn't making the inflammation worse. Have you got anti-inflammatory medication? I made my own anti-infammatory smoothies. A Scott Jurek recipe. It's rather nice actually.

I don't think you're supposed to foam roll your IT band so go carefully and do what your therapist tells you

Good luck and I hope you'll be back out there soon

Doc told me I can start with easy jogging and stop when I feel any pain. I have to see him 4-5 more times to fully recuperate with his methods. hopefully I'll be ready for my 1/2 by September but I won't push it.

It'll take more than that methinks to finish your running career!

I only started in October and would be quite disappointed to see it end in less than a year.
