Think this has been the hardest week yet mentally. Really struggled to convince my self that I could run 25 minutes another three times after doing it at the end of week six but I've done it.
Found that I had to leave two days between runs instead of one to allow my muscles to recover enough, has anyone else had to do this? x

I have been running or rather built up to running for 18 months and now run 3 X 60 minutes weekly. I also cross train with kettle and spinning classes at the gym. I had the worst run last Wed and could hardly lift one leg in front of the other and stopped after 52 minutes and haven't done any exercise since 😨 I shall go for a run this morning and hopefully the 4 days rest will have had a positive impact on my body.
Listening to your body is a good idea and will help prevent injuries. Btw, I hated week 7, too, it was the worst week for me. Try to go really slowly in the remaining weeks (even if you think you are already slow, you can always reduce speed and make very small steps), the remaining two weeks are probably going to be easier.
Thanks, I really hope it gets a bit easier. Physically I didn't hurt as much after the last run as I did the first but during the runs I struggled mentally x
I graduated 3 weeks ago and have found that as soon as I got to the longer runs, so Week 6 onwards really, I've needed two days in between each run to recover properly. I think it makes sense to listen to my body on that one, much as I'd like to run a little more often - I'm hoping eventually I'll get stronger and my muscles will recover more quickly but I'm not pushing it as I'm terrified of injury!
I'm with you on this one - I found wk7r1 the worst and couldn't even manage the last 2 minutes, practically on my knees. I then had about 3 days rest and tackled the second run much more slowly (practically seemed like a walking pace), however this meant that I managed to finish and didn't feel awful. for the 3rd run I upped the speed a little and found it ok. I am now going to have 2 days of rest to spare my poor knees which are creaking a little. Good luck with wk 8!
