Well approached week 5 with trepiudation and excitement. But have ended up a bit behind. Wisdom tooth playing up badly and my running partner has had terrible stomach bug. Had hoped to be completing race three tomorrow. Instead will be doing race two if we are lucky due to all the setbacks this week. Trying not to feel too bad aboutnit but feel lke am letting myself down as things were going so well. And still have to face fthe tooth e xtraction at some point in near future which will cause more setbacks. Am really worried that i might lose my ability to complete the programme. Am i being stupid. Anyone else feel miserable when things dont go to plan

I was really grumpy when I had to have three weeks off with an injury but I just went back to the first run of the previous week of the plan and was fine. Maybe try the same?

Don't worry---you are not alone on the injury/illness couch. I got to week 8 and am in my third week of not running due to a small pulled hamstring. I won't run until its completely gone away.

Sorry to hear about your wisdom tooth--take the rest because you're body needs it at this point.

On the bright side---a few weeks of non running is nothing compared to years of happy running ahead. I bet when you have you're tooth sorted you will get back into it pretty quickly.

If you get fed up just post and we will all keep you going. :) Good luck.

The fact that you are feeling miserable at the thought if not being able to complete the program as you originally intended nodes well for your eventual success. You clearly want to do it, so keep posting updates and even if you have to miss a few scheduled runs, you will soon be back on track. You WILL get this done! :)
