I'm writing this to procrastinate whilst I wait for the latest shower to pass before I leave for my w9r2... It's been raining on and off all day in Edinburgh so I keep wimping out.
I should just man up and go do it, but what if I melt!??!!
So if I'm not back here in an hours time telling you all that I did it then I need a barrage of motivational replies and maybe the odd threat too so I complete it by tonight at least... Graduation is so close now that it almost feels far away!
I'm off to trick myself into facing the rain, wish me luck!

My daughter always says you are not made of sugar so you won't melt! I'm in Edinburgh too at Corstorphine and very funny weather today 4 seasons in one day Just try and get out when it's dry and if it rains it rains Quite liberating jumping in puddles . Nearly at graduation so good luck for next couple of runs
Yeah really weird weather! I'm a gardener by trade so you'd think I'd be used to getting rained on, but when I'm in the garden I have all my waterproofs on so I feel invincible! When I first started running years ago I decided to start in November in Edinburgh... In hindsight I wasn't setting myself up for success! Hopefully by this winter I'll have accrued enough warm running gear and be so super fit that I'll laugh in the face of Edinburgh rain!
**UPDATE** Did it! I'm back, I got rained on once and didn't melt. You guys and gals were right it WAS refreshing! I probably looked a bit weird facing into rain, mouth open, tongue out, desperate for a drink, but hey ho.
I ran an extra 5 minutes because the second Laura says slow down to a walk I suddenly feel like I could run forever! Also, my final run in the series will be my first ever public race so I thought I should probably prove to myself that I can run for at least 35 mins because I'll need the mental reassurance for Saturday! It's hilly compared to my usual run so it'll probably take me at least that long...
Thanks for all your words of encouragement! Can't wait for my race now!
Ach, bit of rain cools you down as you run, you 'll have finished before you know it & be back all smug & ready for a nice hot shower & a nice glass of something/culinary treat. Or, you could wimp out & feel guilty all night...
