Finally got the courage to do w1d1. It wasn't pretty but I did it! !!!! Want to get fit and lose weight. Turned 40 last year and also changed jobs to a more sedentary one. Really want to achieve this. Got motivation and inspiration reading people's posts.

Well done Matilda. The first one is rarely pretty, just take it slow and easy and I am sure you will be fine.

Well done Matilda on committing to the programme and making a start. It's a really good programme, if you stick to it (slowly) you will be amazed at what you can achieve. Good luck.

I started yesterday but couldn't manage all the jogging sessions, did day 2 today and achieved all 8 minutes of it - it's hard but with determination it can be achieved. Dreading when the amount of running increases!! Well done for today!

Congratulations Matilda. That first run is the hardest of them all. From now on you can think back to the previous run and know in your heart that as you managed that, you can also manage the next one.

That's a good way of looking at it. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

Hi Matilda, I have just started too....tomorrow I will do W1R3. The first one was a bit of a mess. I thought my head was going to explode! The second one was still very tough but better than the first. I hope tomorrows will be even better. Everyone on here is really supportive and helpful. Its a great community. Good luck with your next one. We CAN do this :)

Good luck, earlier this year I had to run to catch a plane connection.....I couldn't do it, embarrassing........that will not happen again, there's my determination right there lol. And with trying to lose weight as well seemed like the ideal program for me.....now on week 3 and jogged for a solid 3mins, who would have thought.

Well done and please do listen to all those people who said "slowly". It really means running veeeery slowly, that's the key to completing the programme and getting fitter.
