Sickness, kids, wk6 r2 and new shoes!

Hi all, it's been a few days since I last posted. My youngster has been ill and as per usual it has gone through the house. I was lucky and only had a tiny bit of a sore throat but my hubby and son have really been knocked about by it. I tried running w6 r2 - twice over a few days and my legs just couldn't do it - lesson learnt, no running when feeling under the weather - I just didn't want to miss my run day! (Oh my gosh - did I really say that ;) ?)

Anyways.... I went for gait analysis at sweatshop Nottingham yesterday. They were so very kind and helpful. I was in there for around 1.5hrs and I have a lovely, though not quite as colourful as I had hoped, pair of brooks adrenaline 15's....the blue, silver and green ones. I ran today and the difference was unreal! Proper fitted shoes and I did have the custom made insoles, but running today was like running little soft clouds :) LOVE THEM! And...... I kicked wk6 run2's ass!

Hopefully everyone is on the mend and I can get back on with things now :)

Happy running all.

Coo, Juju, those are beautiful ! Well done for nailing W6R2 despite having to play Florence Nightingale. P.S. The green-eyed monster is very envious - I remembered all my kit for running this weekend away... except my trainers. Ggggggggnnnn. So frustrating :(

Oh no! How can you for get your trainers!?!?! Poor you, Its actually easy done and I can imagine the frustration, especially when you have set your mind to make time to run!

Well done Juju and hope you are at full fitness now (or very soon).

Those are quite conservative by the standards of this forum but it's good that the GA has resulted in a good fit and that is the most important thing.

No more walking breaks now!

Morning Dunder, yes they are quite conservative from what I've seen here. I was hoping for something garish :) but they didn't have any other colors in that brand and style in stock. Sadly the shop is too far away to order them in and go back :( still I do love them and they are sooooooo comfy!

NEXT time I'll have funky monkey ones!

Ooh! New shoes! They're lovely - I like Brooks!

Hi Ully, I have quite wide feet, and slightly over pronate, then being on the plus size these shoes fit the bill! Sadly they only had the one colourful in the store in my size, but yes they are incredibly comfortable and I could really feel the difference when out running!

You can get adrenaline 15 GTS in a variety of colour ways. I hope yours last you a very long time but next time you could try the snazzy black, purple and orange ones if you want something really bright! Great shoes, enjoy the difference they make.

Morning Coddfish, yes since I've been back I have seen that they do some lovely colors, and I would have preferred something a little more snazzy, sadly in my chosen shoe, and in my size this was all they had. NEXT time I need new ones ( now I know my foot issues) I'll get some funky monkey ones - purple and orange are def my kinda thing ;) But in the mean time I do LOVE them, it's amazing the difference :)
