( with a few hiccups) week 3 beckons its welcoming arms outstretched towards a rather wet old geezer..

I love running in the rain, I've been known to reschedule my run days after looking at the weather forecast. Good luck with W3

well I have always LOVED the feeling of 'warm summer rain' on my skin.. but i confess wasnt so 'warm' on this one...

Congrats! Take W3 steady...it is a bit more of a challenge, but perfectly doable.Running in the rain is great; very few other people around, everything seems washed and fresh. Just watch manhole covers...they get very slippery indeed! As can white lines!

was very conscious of watching EVERYTHING that might be slippy.. w3 a challenge? you mean it gets HARDER? thanks anyways...

..not harder as such, but many people rush at it. Take it steadily and it just glides by...

Enjoy the spring and summer.

well i DID see two posts last week of wk 3 knee injuries.. so not planing to rush.. just survive, just get to the end of it.. and I'll be happy.. it IS ridiculous though, cos at THIS stage I'm really doing B**ger all REAL running.. but yet I do find it harder than I had expected.. mainly on the breathing.. and getting stride right.. frequently have to correct myself as I find myself striding out too far .. so hold back more, pace myself better , but I KIND of think that's the purpose of the early stuff.. and building up strength/cardiovascular/breathing as you go..

Not what you're looking for?
