Week 2 done!

Boring I know to write a blog for this but I am really pleased that I've done 2 weeks and not had to repeat any days.....yet! Also that at the end of W2 R3 I felt no worse than at the end of week one! It was raining in the night and I was hoping it might still be when I ran so that my still sparklingly new running shoes might begin to look more used!

Not at all boring, it's great to stay in touch so we can all cheer you along to graduation. Off for my run now... has been rain overnight and the roads will be damp, but I do believe the sun is trying to come out now! It won't take long til your shoes start to look grubby and road worn ... on the other hand, just to let you know, I'm asthmatic too and since I've been doing this, cold weather and all, I've only used my inhaler once in the last month. This schedule is clearly improving my lung power: I'm heading into week 8 now. All the best as you go week3wards. Cheers, Linda :)

Thanks Linda. Do you use your inhaler before you start a run? I do but I havent used it afterwards cos the breathlessness seems to be just a newbie's pants and near collapse!!

When I first started early Feb, and it was blooming cold, I used beforehand and wrapped myself in a scarf to try to keep breathing bits warm. For the last 5 or more weeks I have only used it once and that was following a 20 min run during which the weather did a complete 'about turn' and I'd gone out in lighter clothes ... It blew an icy wind out a sunny morning! Am so happy that I don't seem to need it now - am positive lungs and breathing passages have strengthened. Hope yours do too. X
