Not the best way to prepare!

A friend from work retired yesterday so went to his leaving drinks. Wasn't planning on staying long ('I've got to run for 30 minutes tomorrow!' Cue blank looks followed by 'would you like another glass of wine?') so didn't eat until I was nearly home 4 hours (and too much wine) later. By that time I was STARVING so had a massive burger and chips.

Woke up at 4 am with a raging thirst on. Dragged myself out of bed 3 hours later to do the school run and THEN did W9R1!!! Went alright too, amazingly!! Don't plan on making that my usual pre-run routine though...

Feel a bit jaded now. :-§

Two more runs to go, can't believe it :-)

We all have to learn our lessons - for me it was not to have a big curry 3 hours before running for 30 minutes. Well done though. You're nearly there!

Not the recommended preparation! :-) 2 more runs then you can really celebrate.

From various posts over the last week or so, it does seem that burgers and hangovers are becoming the proven route to PBs.

Well done. Nearly there.

I ran last night about an hour after a big plate of spaghetti bolognese and I got 3 PBs as well - one for 1km, one for 1 mile and one for 3km! (to be fair it was the first time I'd run 3km...)
