Positive way to finish the week

Wk4 run 1 done - two days later than planned due to generally feeling too knackered to run after work. Despite the colder weather I forced myself out. Took it slowly as advised by you guys on here and managed to complete it despite my legs aching (think some new trainers are in order).

On the way noticed the dreaded green nets that have ‘graced’ the hedgerows on my route have been removed #nestsnotnets power to the people!!! So a little bit more of a spring in my step to spur me on 😊

Great job. I’m not familiar with the nestsnotnets movement, but logically it sounds good... are there really people attempting to stop birds nesting? That’s insane.

Go get gait analysis and enjoy run 2

Yeah will definitely get gait analysis done properly this time - having attempted to diagnose myself with the help of my podiatry friend!

I've got one more run in Wk 3, then I'll be joining you on Wk4. Was it a big step up?

I'm also heading out for new trainers next week. My faithful, ancient and comfortable ones have served me well, but after sore knees last week, I think it is now time for gait analysis and proper running shoes so I can do this C25K malarkey in reasonable comfort. I'm actually starting to enjoy it, and nobody's more surprised by that than me!

Haha Delly-dot! Tbh I was ‘anxious’ about the 5 min bit but when it came it wasn’t so bad, I think it definitely helps that Laura counts down so you know when you’re 2.5 mins in and only 60 secs to go. Definitely kept me going as I wasn’t tempted to take a sneaky look at how long was left.

Can’t say I ran it very fast, just a slow plod really but a non stop one nonetheless!

Let us know how you get on with the next run!

Will do! I am off to Cornwall for a few days. Just looked at the weather forecast!! 💨 🌧 I’m expecting to be blown along the coastal path!

Enjoy the rest if Wk4.

Totally insane UnfitNoMore. They’ve been on the hedges by me for over 12 months and more so that developers who have bought the land can prevent birds from nesting 😱 they’re totally inhumane, trapping birds and small mammals. What is the world coming to? I was so happy when I suddenly realised that they were missing.

Not what you're looking for?
