Start of week 6

After a 10 day break for one reason or another, I finally did W6R1 last night and really struggled.

Not sure if it was a head thing, or the 2.5 hours exercise I did the night before but really disappointed.

I'm hoping to get W6R2 done in the next day or two and hopefully get back on track.

If you'd done leg exercise the night before, maybe your body was still recovering. All I've read on this site and elsewhere, recovery time is just as important. Take it easy

Don't be too disheartened, lots of peolple have commented on this being a hard week. You got out there and will soon be back on track I'm sure. Good luck.

Hi Nic

I've just has two weeks off with illness and was due to do Week 6 run 3 but went back to run 1. I couldnt do it the first time round but today I have completed it again, and am ready for run 2 on Wed/Thurs.

Sometimes it just takes a while to stretch it all out again I think!

Hi I was the same - on a runners high after w5r3 then a slump on w6r1... Someone commented on my post it may be going back to interval training that was harder... All I know is that you and I are not alone here... At least you completed it and can now do the next one. I plan to do my w6r2 tmw or wed.

Keep going ur well more than halfway. 😎

Me too. W6R1 and W6R2 were both really tough for me which is tough to explain because every run since has been great.

Don't worry too much about it.

thanks everyone :) I've hurt my knee so I am having a few days off then W6 R2 tomorrow, I've worked out that 3 runs a week will mean I graduate from couch 25k on the actual day of my first 5k run - scary stuff ;)
