I ran tonight! Not far, and not fast, but I can run again!

Last night on my walk home from work I realised that although I could still feel soreness in my ankles, I wasn't limping any more. I was tempted to go for a run but thought "no, I'll give it one more day to be on the safe side". No further problems during today so when I got home I got changed straight away and went out to do a route around town that brings me home in exactly 2k. Managed it without too much trouble but didn't want to risk any more, wasn't fast (13.40) but I ran! Felt so good to be back out there (but boy was it hot!) :)

Didn't realise you were injured. Glad to see you're starting to get back out there again. Sounds like you're doing all the right things so hopefully you'll be back on form in no time

Oh Steve, I am so pleased to read this. Good for you !

Blimey, it was chilly and drizzly today here in the North West, sounds like it was cracking the flags down South.

Take it easy , my dear xxx

Thank you Poppy. Felt good to be back in the saddle, albeit briefly. The weather has been glorious for the last two days down here (Surrey/Sussex border). I think we got up to about 27 Celsius this afternoon :) xxx

Thank you JJ, I loved it. Was so tempted to just keep going for another 5k or so but need to not go mad just yet :) Hope you're recovering well after Sunday xxx

Thank you AM. I Nearly didn't post as I know there are still plenty of people on the IC but I was SO happy to have got out again. xx

Oh never ever feel reluctant to post Sweetie. Reading about other people's recoveries is good when you're injured. Makes you feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel :)

Genuinely delighted for you :)

Whoop whoop you're back!! Well done but slow n steady is the key, don't take one step forward and five steps back eh? Remember it's how long you run for not how fast. Look after them ankles! Oh, and what sun was that.....? None here in Lancashire!
