Week One. Again

Sunday 22nd March, my friend Shawn and I decided that it was time to start Couch to 5K and to do it together. Now I've attempted Couch to 5K a couple of times before but never got further than week 5. The first time I gave up very early on because I was unmotivated, and the second time I gave up because the friend I was doing it with stopped and I lost motivation to do it by myself.

However, this time I have Shawn on board and the first week has gone well. Run one got us off to a good start. I can't speak for Shawn but I felt wonderful at the end of it, if out of breath and sounding like I couldn't catch it as I puffed my in-haler. But I felt good through the lack of breath.

Run two was definitely the worst of the week. It was Wednesday and I had just finished my second day in a new full time job. I was tired out before we started and struggled to get through it. But I was still smiling at the end. Because I did make it to the end.

Tonight bought run three; the final run of week one. Despite the fact it's a Friday, the end of the week, and I've started a new job, I was surprisingly energetic today. I vlogged before Shawn arrived, and got through the run with more ease that Monday and Wednesday. That's not to say it was easy just easier.

I'm now all psyched for starting week two, though I am a little nervous. I've done this far before so I know I can do it, but it still seems a little intimidating right now.

It definitely is, once I'm out there in my running gear I'm all raring to go, it's just getting up and out.
