Having a fairly bad time at work. In common with a lot of local authorities, my employer have cut back on staff year after year. Last year, my team took a big hit in terms of staff leaving on voluntary redundancy. I have been not so much part of a team but the only person there ! To add to the jollity, we are having to pack up our office (actually a filing room). Straight out for a run when I got home, clear skies, stars and fresh air. Sanity is temporarily restored. Until tomorrow that is. I could be clocking up a fair few miles this week !

Bad day at the office
Really sorry to hear your work news, Girly. I hope your job is safe, if you're the only one left! At least you have the distraction of going for a run, and get some fresh air. I find I do some quite constructive thinking on a run, but it makes for poorer times! Maybe you'll get some constructive thoughts.... Good luck!
I feel for you, It's so hard when work is hard going, especially if morale is low...savour the runs and look forward to them, they will sustain and revive you. Take care
I have got OFSTED in at work so I am thinking of using the same stress relieving activity!
Hope the OFSTED goes/went well. The Mrs has that looming....new head and a while since the last one!
Oh thats very stressful Girly xxx
Yep, get your runners on and get a few miles on your legs. I hope all your stress melts away into a big puddle of Gloop xxx
That sucks Girly. I think a lot of employers completely forget about the ones left behind when there are redundancies and just expect them to smile and get on with it all. Running has become my escape too. Hope things improve for you, Steve x
You definitely need a run after a day like that! When I'm stressed and can't run for any reason, I THINK about my favourite runs and how I felt and that helps a lot. Keep running!
Thanks Irishprincess, that's a good idea re thinkng of favourite runs. Good luck with your running ! x
