Hi all! I've just completed week 7 and am starting to look towards life after C25k and keeping the momentum going. I could have sworn I saw an NHS 5 to 10k app? Was I dreaming? I can now only find C25k+ which look good, but I wanted the same structured programme for 5 to 10k?
Any other app recommendations?

When I graduated I did the 5K+ podcasts in rotation to get some miles under my belt and refine my running style. Then I moved on to B210K with Sammi Murphy which is similar in style to Laura, but quieter and with less encouragement along the way ... But still a great program.
It was posted here recently by Andyd he called it Samantha do a search for samantha using the search button to the top right of your screen. Hopefully that will take you straight to the download
10k is a great target to aim for, but do consolidate your 30 minutes of running first. The C25K+ podcasts are great. Then be careful. Some of the programmes are very intense and you could find yourself doing too much too soon. Personally I think increasing how long you run for by 10% is a great way of increasing your distance - and you can always cut back. However, I don't think there are apps for that which will give you the same kind of encouragement as Laura. There's a fine line between pushing yourself to reach a target and overdoing it and getting injured. Listen to your body and don't let completing a programme become more of an obsession than enjoying your running.
What ever you do post-graduation, I hope you enjoy it!
Active 5k to 10k is doing it for me - I'm halfway through it. Another 9 week programme that gives you a gentle 1st run of the week & then harder towards the 3rd run. You'll miss Laura, we all do.
But take a breather to consolidate - as runningnearbeirut suggests - on 5k before you step up. Good luck.
Perfect reply from Runningnearbeirut. There have been far too many injuries on here to people trying to do too much too soon. Consolidation is vital to avoid injury. Increasing your longest run by 10% each week is safer and at least as effective as any of the B210k programmes.
I only ran 5k successfully a couple of weeks ago, and feel like consolidating and improving my technique is the best way forward for at least a few weeks.
I've used the c25k+ workouts which are useful, but what I've found even more helpful is to try and shorten my stride and increase my cadence - I've been using a gadget called moov to try and improve my efficiency before getting too carried away with distance. Seems to be helping so far, much less out of breath now - going faster with less effort.
I probably should have added I was a regular 5-8k runner before a few months break and have used C25k mainly for motivation to get going again. I've always run "to my own plan" to increase distance but I have really enjoyed the structure of this and found it has very much enhanced motivation, so I would like to find another app to use of a similar ilk to continue building back up to where I was last summer.
