Just back from wk 2 run 1 and feel really good! 90 seconds x 4 all good last one bit of a struggle bit did not stop and now feeling pleased with myself! Think need to assess trainers though may be breathable bit also let the puddles in and we're plenty of them!! And jacket what to wear?!?! 🤣🤣

Yeay!!! Go you! Keep it slow and keep it steady!
Running shoes do get wet...but they dry!
I do, unlike many, have a breathable lightweight shower jacket.. many folk really dislike them..you can end up as wet , inside as out..but I do not seen to have that issue.. I think I run too slowly!
Today though, got soaked... it was great!
Excellent effort, I found week 2 tricky too but battled through it and am currently now running much longer distances in week 5. Do have comfy trainers, there is nothing worse than having to worry about uncomfortable feet as well as completing extended distances each week. I don't bother with a jacket, happy to get wet and find the rain quite refreshing. Good luck.
Atta girl Polly well done. So you can get breathable running jackets, but depending on severity of weather, they can end up being more of a pain than a help. I wore mine this morning, it spitted a bit then stopped, so ended up with a very hot extra sweaty middle (tmi) .i wouldn't bother unless it's really tipping it down. I haven't investigated trail trainers myself but others swear that they are good as they drain quicker. Eventually a spare pair is a good thing, but only when you've decided you're sticking at it, otherwise you can spend a lot of money. You should be proud of what you've done well done and good luck for Run 2
No I know what you mean I wore my lightweight raincoat and by 4th run was feeling very sweaty so had to take it off, but then it tipped down so had to put it back on! Feel really slow hope not slowed it down too much?
I am sure you were fine.,actually going as slow as possible, is by far the best way it keeps you on track. Speed comes later
Fabulous sounds good, well done!
