He fell over

Just back from my recovery run. Back in the woods, running through the trees, felled by a twig, crouch and roll, lie there, all seems fine. Up and at them again. No problems from the fall into nice soft mud. 5k in 35 mins - that'll do me.

Happy weekend all. Now I need a beer ;-)

The sun had only just disappeared as it was a blue sky when I started.

God your lucky, my fall this week involved my face smacking the pavement.

GettingFitter profile image
GettingFitterGraduate in reply toBurstcouch

I was really lucky but just decided to roll with it and was laughing as it was so comical. Nice soft mud instead of pavement. Hope you're ok

Be careful ! Hope you don't discover any unexpected aches and pains as a result tomorrow.

Glad you're okay, GF! :-) You have to laugh, don't you - a recovery run causing a mishap! :D

I think it's the day for it; I went flying on black ice earlier. :D I'm okay, but just shows, we have to be careful out there!

GettingFitterGraduate in reply toMiles_Yonder

Glad to hear you're ok too. I'm still smiling as I felt such a prat but was lucky to fall well. Beer can cause black ice moments too - be careful out there ;-)

Thanks PP. Ridiculous isn't it falling over on a recovery run. Still a run is a run and I did enjoy it. There does seem to be a fair amount of falling over going on. Must be the time of year ;-)

Really muddy but worth it Ali - thanks

Crikey, this trail running lark sounds a bit too hair raising for my liking!

I tried to kick a small branch out of the path yesterday morning. Didn't realise it was spiky and ended up dragging it along for a few yards whilst looking like I was having an 'episode' trying to kick it off my sock :D

Thank you, Poppy! For some reason though when someone points a camera at me when I'm running I appear to instantly turn into Paul "thumbs aloft" McCartney!!
