After starting C25K in May 2014 I did my local parkrun to check my progress on a regular basis. My time fell from 50 minutes to 34'31". I was Park runner of the month so I now have a lovely certificate and a voucher for Sweatshop to get some trainers. I have become an expert shopper at Sports Direct, Decathlon and M&S for tops and leggings
Buying trainers or running shoes happened months ago when I bought some New Balance at SD after gait analysis. They are faithful servants to me and still look good and feel comfortable. Later this week I will venture into Sweatshop's shoe section and be seduced by all the lovely colours. Any recommendations on good shoes. I have a highish arch, the inside of the heel wears first and my gait is neutral except when I tire and then I lean in. My niggle seems to be my right ankle.
Advice please.

Many congratulations on a great achievement! That's brilliant. Sweatshop will recommend the right shoes for you and you'll get a chance to try loads on (and check out R colours too!). Lucky you. Enjoy!
I will check out the colours. I fancy teal or purple!
well done that is great improvement i am sure Sweatshop will find the right shoes for you , having just had my Gait Analysis done and a new pair of shoes purchased i can only thoroughly recommend them
The only advice I can give is to get purple ones... Seriously though, Sweatshop will be able to recommend shoes that suit you best - I have been very happy with their advice. And many congratulations on being parkrunner of the month.
Each month our parkrun uses different criteria. I won as I had shown the best improvement since starting in May 2014 and encouraging others to get off the couch.
I was an example to all those new year resolutions.
I keep wanting to make an Oscar speech! So many people to thank etc
