New shoes!!!

I have bad feet. Bunions, wide, quite flat, ache some days because of the way the bunions make me walk. I've had a niggling hip pain for the last couple of the weeks and decided it was time to get some good shoes. I bought my current trainers from Amazon and they are comfy and wide enough but they are neutral.

I went to Run in Swindon for gait analysis. Amazed at the video of my ankles and feet collapsing! Was less amazed at the sight of my big bottom! Everything was thoroughly explained to me and as I suspected I need a lot of support in shoes I will run in. The shop was great. There was absolutely no pressure to buy today. I tried three pairs and chose these. So comfy and great support. I ran on the machine in all three pairs, it was very thorough. They've also given me a series of strengthening exercises for my weak bottom muscles!!

Can't wait to run in them!

Excellent! The shoes will make so much difference - mine did. The shop I went to was really good to0 - lots of choice, no pressure to buy etc.

Happy Runnung :-)

I’d get my gait analysed if it wasn’t for the thought of young, fit people seeing me (for the want of a better word) ’run’! Luckily, there is probably nowhere in Cornwall that does this - it’ll have to wait until i’m up country....what a shame.

I think I was lucky! The man that did it was about my age and was very helpful and didn't even smirk when I almost went backwards off the treadmill!

Be interested to hear how you find them. I have feet that sound similar to yours and was pondering having it done.

Sounds like a good shop with a thorough service.

Let's hope the shoes work for you.
